Doggies in the north bowl today - powder! |
Pyramid is beginning to resemble and ice cream cone - deep snow on top and absolutely no snow below a certain point. Once you climb up and get onto the snow it is deep the rest of the way to the top. And it is still getting deeper above about 1500 feet. Over the last few days the top of the mountain has been pasted with new snow. Every day the tracks from the previous day have been getting covered up.
Today I took the dogs up early to catch the powder before it got slushy as the day warmed up. We started climbing up in the spitting rain and then it turned to snow as we got higher in elevation. Then the sun came out but it was pretty foggy. We did a run down into the North Bowl and it was an actual powder run!
