On the beach at Lipsett Point

This Labor Day we lit only one fire on the beach.  We lit it in the evening and while I still cooked dinner in the teepee we ate it by the fire on the beach. Back in June when we visited Lipsett Point it barely got dark at night and was much colder in the evening. Last weekend it got dark early and the evenings seemed warm.

This year we also made use of our 'hot tub' (no pictures).  We have a tub that we fill with salt water and then use a propane crab cooker burner to heat it up.  We put the burner right under the tub and heat it up 'cannibal' style.  It gets pretty hot.  We lit it both on a sunny evening and on a stormy night.  I actually kind of liked taking a hot tub in the rain and watching the rain drops splash into the tub water. It felt snug to be in hot water while the storm raged.
