Over the weekend I took the doggies on an alpine hike. The sun was shining and it was beautiful in the alpine. Hillsides are beginning to turn yellow and red, and the lingonberries are starting to get ripe. About the only wild flower still blooming are the purple asters.
It was crisp and cool in the alpine and the doggies and I walked for a ways along a ridge. We found a small pond and the dogs enjoyed a swim. Then it was time to hike back down to the tall grass and thick vegetation below the alpine.
