Arizona Thanksgiving 2025! The first 2 days it rained and there has been some serious flooding before we got here. But today it is sunny and looks like it is going to get hot. Yesterday when I played Marco Polo with Stuey it was freezing cold and we had to keep moving to stay warm. It looks like that will be a distant memory by this afternoon.
The flooding must have been extreme because you see sand across the road and there is even still water in a lot of the washes. Nora and I decided to check on Lake Pleasant. Last time we were there (click here for post) the water level was pretty low. So we figured with all the flooding the water level would be up to the top. But no it was around 10 feet lower than it had been in 2023. I gather there has been a bad drought - so the rain is super needed.
On the way to Lake Pleasant we ran into a bunch of feral burros. We stopped for pictures and they came right up to the windows looking for handouts. It looks like people must feed them. They got nothing from us!
