Summer is turning to Fall. Yesterday I went for a walk with the dogs on Pillar Ridge and I noticed that the fireweed and bunchberry leaves are turning red. Some of the fireweed still has pink blooms and yet the plants all around are already turning red. Fall colors!
This is GREAT news. Pretty soon I can stop mowing the lawn and this week I think I'll start to harvest the garlic and potatoes in my garden.
