September Landscapes

I've noticed that in the last few days the temperature at night has dipped down to 39 degrees.  That means that on high there has been frost.  And that it will not be long before it freezes in my own yard.

I took most of the pictures in this post last week and yesterday I noticed that it has gotten noticeably more red since then.  The next color to pop will be the yellow cottonwood leaves!

I have harvested 1/2 my garlic and plan on harvesting the rest in the next few days.  Then once my yard fills with yellow cottonwood leaves I'll gather them up and put them under and above the garlic cloves when I plant for next year.  It'll be the start of my garden for 2024.
