Today I drove to the pass and was shocked at the amount of new snow. There was almost 2 feet of new snow at the pass and I could barely park or turn the car around. My jeep was high centering on the new snow on the drive up.
I took the dogs up with me but it felt somehow inhumane. By the time we got to the deeper snow at the knob (1000 feet elevation) they could not move anywhere but in my skin track. So I had to turn around and go back to the car. Tomorrow I will not take the dogs.
In the last three days we have gone from no snow and brown hills to 4-5 feet of new snow and mid winter ski conditions. WOW! This is one of the biggest snow storms that I can remember, and it still has not stopped snowing.
