North Haven

Mullens Head picnic

We've been out on North Haven Island for 4 days now, and are staying at my grandmother's old house.  It is built directly out over the water.  At high tide we can leap from the porch out into the water.  There is also a ping pong table.  In the evenings we have been eating dinners with granny Cocoa and playing dominos afterwards.

The weather has been a mixed bag.  Some fog, rain, sunshine, and even a brief thunderstorm.  One day we drove out to Mullens Head and had a 'potato chips and hotdogs' picnic.  As the tide came in the sun heated sea weed and beach rocks warmed up the water and we found it quite bearable for swimming!

The only thing we do not have is very good WiFi.  Hence the short blog post - more to come!
