Arizona Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving I cooked the turkey my usual way.  I deboned it the day before Thanksgiving and made stock with the bones. On Thanksgiving day - after the Vulture Peak hike - Jack and I made stuffing and used it to stuff the turkey and make it look normal. Jack and his friend Walker made garlic mash potatoes, and Polly made pies.  When the Turkey was done I whipped up some gravy and we had meal!

Since we started cooking after the hike we had a true dinner rather than aThanksgiving lunch.  While we cooked the meal and waited for the Turkey to get up to temperature we watched football games.  In the old days we used to watch football games on TV, but these days we had to figure out how to stream them on our phones and iPads using cellular service and 'hotspots'.  What's funny is that we ended up watching the games crowded around tiny little screens - like TV used to be in the early 1970s.
