It is getting green Quick! I think by next week, or even by tomorrow we will achieve 'peak green'. This is when Kodiak is at its most green. When it truly is an Emerald Isle. This is when Kodiak is mantled with a cover of fresh, bright green. But it also does not last very long. By early August the pushki plants are turning yellow and the hillsides start to turn a dark brownish green. So we have about 6 weeks of 'peak green' tops.
This past week we had a lot of mist, rain, and clouds. So everything is very moist. But today the sun is shining and the temperature was already in the 60s by 8 AM. It is supposed to be sunny for the next few days too. I think the greenery is going to explode.
