The North Bowl lives! I keep on expecting it to melt in half, but the little strip of snow that connects the top of the bowl with the lower bowl just keeps hanging on. This means that from the top of the North Bowl there is still a very long ski run - over 800 feet vertical. That's still longer than most East Coast ski areas! But I fear it can't possibly last more than another day. As it is there is only a long thin strip of snow in the middle and you got to point it on your skis to negotiate it. It is steep and a little scary because you get going so fast.
The doggies LOVE to ski. On the way up as soon as we get to the snow they roll in it. And slide down slopes on their backs and sides on purpose. Red even likes too do a head first belly slide with her legs out behind her. And then Red and Rey have their play fights. They look serious, but it is all play and they do it over and over again. Bode even joins in at times. The bottom 4 photos are from a 'play fight' sequence in order.
Nora and I are going to try the North Bowl one last time today. Fingers crossed that the 'thin strip' still lives!
