Foggy Summer

 

This summer, so far, the weather has been foggy interspersed here and there with a few days of sunshine.  There has not been a lot of rain - mostly just cool foggy days.  My garden has not been growing particularly fast, but everything is super green.  

I've been hearing people complain about the lack of sunshine, and it made me realize that I like the fog.  I'd much rather have it cool than hot. The other day when I climbed Mount Monashka it was sunny and in the mid 60's and it was too HOT. Both the dogs and I were panting when we got to the top.  

Yesterday the dogs and I climbed Pyramid in the fog.  The temperature was in the low 50's.  So much better of a hiking experience! And we noticed that there is still enough snow in the north bowl for a short ski run.  I did not bring my skis but the doggies did some sliding and rolling in the snow.
