The house where we are staying has a deck right above the water, and at the beginning of the vacation we have spent a lot of time on it. I go out there in the morning with my coffee and in the evening with a beer. Out on the deck it is like being on a picnic without ever having to leave the house. At high tide you can jump right off of the porch into the water. And we have also been launching paddle boards and kayaks right off of the deck.
Yesterday, at high tide, Nora and I went on a paddle board and kayak trip over to Perry's Creek for a swim. At high tide the water there is warm and there is an old granite dock piling that you can jump off of into the water. It's kind of nice not to have to drive or walk anywhere. Everything starts and begins on the porch.
