Sunshine in the trees

arrival at the frozen river

A few more scenic pictures from last week of the Upper Buskin. We have had very little snow, but what little we do have has stuck around.

We have had an amazing run of good weather lately - clear and cold. This is very unlike typical Kodiak weather and more like what you'd expect in interior Alaska where the weather tends to be more stable.  Kodiak weather is usually much more dynamic with storms and wild fluctuations. But lately there is a huge high pressure system over Alaska and all the storms are skirting off to the East of Kodiak.
