Hoar

On Saturday, despite no new snow, the skiing was much better on Pyramid.  There was a heavy dusting of hoar frost coating everything on the mountain.  So much frost it was like new snow.  It was also beautiful.  I tried to take pictures of the frost against the sky.  For a while the same fog that created the crystals closed and the world turned gray.  Then as I descended down the mountain it got clear again.
