We got back to Kodiak on the 1rst. The night before we had planned on hosting a New Years Eve fireworks party at our house, but obviously we had not been there to host it. I sort of assumed that that was that. And was surprised when all our friends showed up with fireworks. Fireworks party on - just a day late, and no Stuey. Poor Stuey had to miss the party.
We lit the backyard fire pit and blasted fireworks out over Mill Bay. Kids running around with sparklers and the usual fireworks chaos. It was all over by 8:30.
