During our Memorial Day trip to Afognak the first few days were stormy and the tent was cozy. The last couple of days were characterized by glorious sunshine and calm winds, and we spent a lot of time on the beach. We'd light a fire where we always do every visit and cook hotdogs and make s'mores. We built our city in the sand and read books.
One day we had visitors and we all walked to Nancy's who fed us beer, pea soup and peanuts. And then, best of all, she gave us a ride back to Lipsett Point in the whaler.

And a good time was had by all, though maybe not when collecting the firewood, by the looks on faces. You had some good fires going I see.
