This past year I made more videos than I usually do and Philip T made his usual elk hunt video. Hence, this year there are more videos documenting my adventures than usual. Video captures something not present in stills. Put simply, while a photo is worth a thousand words - a video is worth a thousand pictures! But do not worry all the videos linked here are highly edited and short.
The first video documents an archaeological survey of the east side of Alitak Bay down on the south end of Kodiak. I did the survey with Philip way back in early May. We used inflatable kayaks to carry us and our gear and document the archaeological sites along about 60 miles of very remote coastline. This video shows what I do as a part of my job when I am in the field (click here).

The next video is most definitely not job related. The video documents a late August deer and mountain goat hunt in the high alpine near Uganik Bay. This was a trip I did with 2 friends from Anchorage. The goal of this trip was to have fun and bring back meat for our families (click here).

The third video documents another deer and mountain goat hunt on the south end of Kodiak in late September. Mike, Ray and I have been doing this hunt for a number of years and have built up a comradery that is hard to explain. But again the trip is all about fun, exploration, and meat for the family (click here for video).

Finally the fourth video is the Philip produced elk hunt video. This was the 18th year of the annual north Afognak Island elk hunt. That's a lot of years and a lot of elk harvested. This year we had a strong shore team of 6 (the 7th man on the boat is the most important) and harvested 3 elk (click here for video).
