On the 4rth of July we did our usual fireworks off of the porch thing. It was a rainy day, but, conveniently, it stopped raining just before we lit them and started again just after we finished. In Alaska on the 4rth of July it really does not get dark until after midnight. So it was not a 'light up the sky' kind of show. But there was gunpowder smoke, lots of big bangs, and bright explosions. Perfect way to commemorate the Nations 250th birthday!
