Sharatin Again
Last Sunday Nora took a day off from skiing and Stuey and I went skiing on Sharatin with the cousins. And just like the weekend before (click here for link) the conditions were not suitable for going up to the top. In fact, we ended up doing pretty much exactly the same trip as before.
We were hoping for soft corn snow, but it turned out that it had frozen harder than we thought overnight and the conditions were pretty icy. So we ended up going to the same place as before to catch the steep, southeast-facing slopes in the hopes that the sun would have warmed the snow. The weekend before this was where we found powder pockets. Also like last time it was also very windy.
So we sort of had a 'Groundhog Day' like experience. But that's not so bad. It was sunny and we had a good time with the cousins.
