Sharatin
Last Sunday Nora and I skied Sharatin Mountain with cousin Leo and uncle Dicky. Our first Sharatin ski of the season - and I have the feeling it will be the first of many more to come. Sharatin will still have snow long after Pyramid loses all of its snow.
We had hoped to ski high up on the mountain, but it was pretty windy. On high the dusting of snow we got overnight had all blown away leaving an icy crust. So we stuck to the lower slopes and found seams of powder in the gullies and swales. It was a good time!
And then when we were done we skied back to the car. Usually on Sharatin you have to hike to the snow and then hike down after you ski. But not this year!
